I feel similar to the day when Geno, my mother and I got up one day in Germany to get ready to make it to my C-section appointment. This is kinda like that, my mom-in-law is here, we got up knowing that when we leave today we'll come back one more ..... just like on the day Jalen was born .... it is quite surreal ..... exciting ..... wow, this is the moment we've been waiting for so long.
We're leaving Nana and Jalen behind to hold the fort down! Of course Lori, our neighbor and Jalen's "big sister" is here to help them out. We'll be driving to Atlanta, then flying to DC and then flying to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We'll be staying in the big room at Melkam (yeah, the one that has a bathroom in the room and you don't have to share ..... so I'm absoltely thrilled, because at first it didn't look like it was going to be available, but now it is!!!!) We went to the doctor yesterday and he loaded us up with Cipro, Malaria medication, Immodium, etc.... I feel like a mobil pharmacy ..... but hey, better have it and not need it, the need it and not have it!
Well, not sure what else to say .... we're excited .... please pray for us .... I'll try to update the blog of facebook if I can!

Since the moment you told me about your daughter, I've been waiting for you to bring her home. I'm so happy for you!! Safe travels!! Enjoy yourself and enjoy that little girl. Ethiopia is going to be seared into your heart and mind forever...
