First off, thank you so much to all of you who have sent your warm wishes, your words of encouragement and your prayers our way over the last few weeks and posts ... that really truly helps me through this process ... so thank you so much!!!!
Today marks exactly 4 months since we first saw our Nyla Hanna in picture. 4 Months!!! I wouldn't have thought that we would have to wait this long after referral to bring her home, with no rainy season and courts closing, no other "abandonment cases" pending .... it's just crazy ... why why why ... oh well, no use in pondering about the "why" right .... just looking forward and anticipating to hear GREAT news tomorrow that we can go and bring her home.
We are ready, her room's ready, her suitcase is packed, her brother's ready .... we've had many conversations he would start with me asking "Mama, when Hanna comes home ...... " etc.... We have been in this suspense/anxiety type of mode for quite a while ... and now it's time. I will pray hard tonight for good news and nothing but good news tomorrow of us being able to leave on Saturday ..... I wish I would've had more time to be happy and excited about our travel, but paperwork, and pending TB test results make it imossible to completely let go and enjoy the moment, because there's always this "what if - thought" in the back of my mind. Tonight I'll do my best to get a good night's sleep and have faith that tomorrow everything will be ok.
