The Three of Us Waiting to Be Four
Alida, Geno and Jalen (4 years old)Currently in Montgomery, AL - waiting to adopt a little toddler sister for Jalen and a daughter for us from Ethiopia.
Right now, we have completed all the necessary paperwork and our dossier (thick adoption file) is done. We started the process in July 2008 but were just now able to finish the paperwork.
What's next: well now we wait ..... for a referral ..... "the phone call" that all adoptive parents are longing for. It is the call that lets us know that we have been matched up with our little toddler girl.
The wait for a referral in this program is typically 8-12 months .... but we're hoping for less, of course.
