Good News from our Agency!

Over the past couple of months our agency had some referrals so I inquired about our position on the waiting list. Today we have found out that we are moving up on the waiting list of families who are waiting to be matched up with a child. We are now in the 80's after waiting for over two months when we started out in the 100's. We also have been told that we have about 2 handfull of other waiting families in front of us who are waiting for an older child like we are. This is exciting news for us! I keep praying that I get to SEE (.... a picture) our dauther this year! Seeing her IN PERSON .... would be absolutely amazing .... but a stretch considering the Ethiopian courts close for two or three months during the rainy season (from about August to October), so she would not be legally our child until we pass courth in Ethiopia. Well, for now we do what we do best ....... hurry up and wait!

Jalen wore his Easter outfit to school for Easter pictures. Sorry, I couldn't help myself not to take pictures and capture my son in a suit for the first time.

Injera at The Cottage - for the Very First Time

After we left the Aquarium we were good and ready for some food. So we went to this Ethiopian restaurant in Atlanta called 'The Cottage' and it was absolutely wonderful. Geno had injera with spicy chicken and beef and I had injera with lamb ...... Jalen had food from both of us .... he had the best of both worlds. He loved it and so did we. This was our very first time eating Ethiopian food and we just loved it. Now, everytime we go to Atlanta, we'll stop at 'The Cottage'. Unfortunately, there are no Ethiopian restaurants here in Montgomery.

At the Aquarium in Atlanta, GA

We went to the Aquarium in Atlanta, GA, a few weeks ago. We had fun, but eventually after taking lots of pictures, Jalen said - see picture above - "Ok, Mama, no more pictures today!"
Then Mama: "Ok, this is the last one ...." .... and it was.

Jalen in Karate
